Bertha Henson still considers herself a journalist although she is not affiliated with any news website or publication. She worked in the Singapore Press Holdings for 26 years before moving to academia and taking up freelance work. She is a prolific commentator on Facebook and has a blog, Bertha Harian, which discusses local current affairs and journalism standards. She is the author of four books, including an e-book, When Mama Fell, which is available for free reading online. She is now semi-retired and spends her time reading books, building Lego mansions and being a general nuisance on Facebook.
