Neil Humphreys arrived in Singapore in 1996 with a suitcase, no job and very little money to stay with a Singaporean friend from university. Within five years, he was a published author. Today, he is Singapore’s best-selling author with 30 books. Neil’s works on Singapore – from Notes from an Even Smaller Island (2001) to Saving a Sexier Island: Notes from an Old Singapore (2015) – are among the most popular titles in the last 20 years. The fourth title in his popular Inspector Low series – Lost Women – was launched in the UK and Singapore in April 2023. Neil is currently working on an Inspector Low TV series with an international broadcaster. A popular columnist, Neil also writes extensively for newspapers and magazines in Singapore, Malaysia, Australia and the UK. Additionally, as a football writer for 25 years, Neil’s football podcast – Yahoo Footballing Weekly – won a Global Sports Podcast award in 2023.
