Audrey Perera

Audrey Perera is a Singapore-based reporter/writer/editor. Along the way, she evolved into a producer of performing arts festivals. Her festival journey began with founding the world music festival, WOMAD Singapore, which she ran for several years. Since then, she’s envisioned and produced other festivals, and her most recent was True Colors Festival Singapore festival, which was presented in 2018 and continued in various iterations until it went live in Tokyo in 2022. The festival presented a diverse line-up of artists on a global stage. She’s currently dreaming up a new festival concept. Words, design and editorial will always be an important part of her life, and she continues in various capacities within this space. She’s also a volunteer board member for two Singapore traditional arts companies, Apsaras Arts Singapore and Nadi Singapura.The power of words. The power of festivals. The importance of shared experiences that celebrate humanity. These are her passions.
