It’s one thing to say we want to age gracefully and meaningfully within our communities – but figuring out how to actually do that is another challenge. The upcoming Active Ageing Festival 2025 promises to tackle just that, offering valuable insights into the evolving landscape of ageing well.
It’s held on Saturday, 27 September 2025 in celebration of the International Day of Older Persons (a few days away on 1 October), and takes place at intergenerational community hub A Good Place in the One Holland Village shopping mall.
Active Ageing Festival 2025 is a one-day event set to showcase the latest in technological innovations, healthcare strategies, and ageing best practices in Asia.
Expect there to be a crowd of over 300 industry experts, caregivers, and seniors taking part, and an appearance by Guest of Honour Joan Pereira, Member of Parliament of Tanjong Pagar GRC (Henderson-Dawson).
Attendees can also look forward to curated talks and exhibitions from eldercare experts. Plus, every ticket holder will get to receive a complimentary goodie bag worth up to $100 – a great deal for just a $10 entry fee.

The programme for Active Ageing Festival 2025 kicks off with the launch of a community exergaming challenge.
Though details have yet to be finalised, you can probably expect an accessible exercise contest that’s open to the public with attractive prizes to be won.

Dr Andrew Lim, executive director at Presbyterian Community Social Services, will be speaking on how seniors can find community and purpose at every stage of life, including their golden years.
Those keen on building strength, staying resilient, and ageing gracefully can look forward to insights shared by Aspire55’s head of programmes and training, Chew Weng Keong.
Meanwhile, CEO and chief audiologist at Amazing Hearing, Dr Sharad Govil, will draw the link between hearing loss, which is often dismissed as a benign sign of ageing, and cognitive decline.
Other topics to be discussed at the festival include senior nutrition, the evolving workplace, and longevity.

Booths and goodie bags
If you need to get up and stretch your legs, you might as well make your walk fruitful by touring the ageing and wellness booths at the festival. These will be exhibiting local and regional partners in the nascent silver industry.
For booths on the health and wellness front, there’s Aspire55, a social health club for those above 50; homegrown hearing healthcare provider Amazing Hearing; and a gamut of supplement vendors ranging from the longevity-focused elivity to the Joyre Group, which blends Traditional Chinese Medicine with modern medicinal approaches.
Meanwhile, those looking for a forever home across the border might be interested in the showcase by Domitys Bangsar Kuala Lumpur, a provider of senior-friendly residences for independent seniors, as well as by award-winning senior hotel and residences brand Sunway Sanctuary.
There are many other booths to check out. Just remember to bring along your event passport as you head for your walkabouts – this is how you redeem the goodie bag.
