It’s that time of the year again when we celebrate the recent Western import that is Halloween, rolling in after the more traditional local Hungry Ghost Festival. For Halloween, kids dress up in scary outfits – adults in scarily skimpy ones – all in celebration of the spooky season.
Carving pumpkins to light up our houses (not to feed ghosts, but to scare them away) is a traditional part of the Halloween festivities – which leaves us with the question of what to do with all those sweet pumpkin innards.
That’s where a delicious baked pumpkin pie comes in.
The sweet and spiced wholesome pie is out and about this season available for dine-in, takeaways and deliveries.

The pumpkin bourbon pie from Windowsill Pies is made with roasted butternut pumpkin squash and finished with a healthy serving of bourbon cream. The pie is served on their signature buttery flaky crust.

Their vegan pumpkin pie has been claimed to satisfy your sweet tooth urges. The pie is made using gluten, eggs, and dairy-free products with ingredients such as gluten-free flour and tapioca flour.

For a boozier less family-friendly version check out Lloyd’s, which specialises in chocolate whiskey balls; decadent treats soaked in either choice of rum or bourbon, smothered in Belgian chocolate, which can be paired with their classic American pies, especially their “Good Ole’ Pumpkin Pie”.
Unlike, most places their pumpkin pies are available all year round and not just for the fall season.

The Southern-style upscale restaurant at Marina Bay Sands has a pumpkin pie on its Thanksgiving menu among other Southern delights.
Yardbird’s Thanksgiving menu is going at $88 per person with a wine pairing add-on at $55 per person. The menu comes with the beetroot, goat cheese and pecan salad for starters followed by an oven-roasted turkey with traditional Thanksgiving sides, and the pumpkin pie for dessert.
The Thanksgiving feast is available for pre-order until 19 November.
