Green Heart At Marina One
A wheelchair-friendly haven in the heart of the city
Fully integrating nature into a skyscraper, this three-dimensional green oasis is home to 350 different species of flora and 700 trees.
Because of its incredible biodiversity, you might even catch a glimpse of the smaller animals that are attracted to the lush greenery. Inspired by Asian paddy field terraces, the layered architecture offers a different experience on every level.
In certain areas, the boardwalk may have a slight incline but is relatively flat for the most part. The walkway is about 2km long, allowing you to appreciate nature every step of the way.

Follow the signs to see one of the main attractions — the three-storey waterfall, which is not only breath-taking but also helps cool the place down.
While it may not be as wild as the usual trails and forests in Singapore, this is definitely a more accessible option for silvers. And plus, it’s open 24/7 to the public!

Bedok Reservoir
Easy and accessible, with activities for all
One of the more popular areas in the East is Bedok Reservoir with pathways circling its park. The paths run for about 4.3km, and offer you a stunning view of the reservoir.
To get the best out of your trip, head there bright and early to catch the sunrise. But if you prefer to sleep in, the sunset in the evenings is quite a sight to see as well.
If you’d like to catch your breath, you can stop for a while and watch those participating in water sports such as kayaking or canoeing.
It might inspire you to participate in these activities at PAssion Wave @ Bedok Reservoir, a multi-purpose facility with wheelchair-friendly features.
Individuals can wheel themselves onto the pontoon to get into the kayak independently at the barrier-free kayak launch point — a first in Singapore.
So, get out and get active in this pocket of greenery that is accessible to all.

Sungei Buloh Coastal Trail
A tranquil walk by the sea with wheelchair-friendly paths
One of the longer wheelchair-friendly routes in the Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve, the trail is 3.2km in length with an elevation of 43 metres — which takes about 43 minutes to complete.
While most of the trails in the reserve take you through the mangrove forest, this path is accompanied by views of the Straits of Johor.
Experience the best of both worlds as you take in both the luscious forests and a spectacular view of the vast expanse of water. And if you look beyond the water, there is Johor Bahru!
As the reserve does get quite busy on the weekends, we recommend heading there during the weekday at non-peak hours to have a smoother trip.
With smaller crowds, you might be able to spot the colourful birds in the area or even a monitor lizard!
One of the key highlights of the reserve is the aesthetically pleasing pods that you will come across on the trail.
Head to Eagle Point which takes you further out over the water, for an unhindered view of the area.

From this landmark, you can also see the seamless blend of nature and modern architecture — a view of the city in the garden.
To get to Henderson Waves, you can go through the 1.3km Forest Walk that starts at the Alexandra Arch, located in HortPark — all of which are completely wheelchair-accessible.
