Have you even been stuck in an MRT during rush hour and thought, “I wish I could stay here forever?” Well, me neither, though you can give it a try for the sheer novelty with a new train hotel in one-north.
Now, we’re not just talking about a train-themed room – your staycation will be in an actual decommissioned MRT cabin. The hard plastic seats and dangling handlebars have been removed in favour of actual beds and amenities, though you can still fiddle with a genuine (and obviously not working) train conductor’s control panel.
Don’t rush to the cabin doors just yet though – the hotel has yet to open for bookings, though plans are in place for it to get moving by the second half of this year. Let’s hope there aren’t any delays.
