Any festive events guide wouldn’t be complete without a mention of Tanglin Mall. Their much-anticipated festive snow spectacle returns this year at the L1 Outdoor Foyer near Starbucks, where visitors can enjoy dazzling foam “avalanche” shows and artificial snowfalls.
Against the snowy backdrop, Tanglin Mall also brings festive cheer through a line-up of Christmas workshops, seasonal performances, and hands-on activities for all ages.
There’s the Crafty Gnome House where visitors can make scented stones, glow houses, and custom festive tags. Meanwhile, DIY sessions will also be hosted at the mall’s shops – with bauble-crafting, styling, and accessory-making workshops available for the kids.
You’ll also find carolling choirs, musical performances, and a chance for the grandkids to sit on Santa’s lap at the L1 Atrium.

Orchard Road transforms into a festive wonderland this Christmas with its SG60-themed Christmas on A Great Street.
The highlight has got to be its two European-inspired Christmas Villages, featuring nightly snowfall shows, carnival rides, and a variety of festive treats for sale. The village at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza (the other is at Shaw House Urban Plaza) is especially eye-catching, boasting a towering 14m-tall Christmas Tree – a perfect centrepiece for memorable holiday photos.
There are plenty other photo spots along the shopping street, including the main Glittering Archway outside ION Orchard, a Santa’s Trishaw Sleigh at Shaw House Urban Plaza, and the Wreath of Joy at Ngee Ann City.
The celebration reaches its peak on Christmas Eve with a Street Party, where the stretch from Paterson Junction to Bideford Junction will be closed for the joyous occasion.

If you’re looking to soak in the festivities and don’t mind the crowd, head over to Togetherland taking place smack in downtown Singapore at the Bayfront Event Space.
Known as the World Christmas Market last year, expect there to be a Christmas village with nine festive zones to explore. At Dasher’s Feast Street, be tantalised by vendors serving up seasonal treats, while Cupid’s Cheer Garden is the place to indulge in sips of mulled wine and craft brews.
Beyond eating and drinking, Dancer’s Magical Stage brings to life a specially commissioned Christmas musical and other holiday performances to keep you and the grandkids entertained. Or bring them to Vixen’s Christmas Carnival for a play area that’s filled with classic rides and games.
We’ll let you explore the other festive zones on your own – there’s something for everyone weather you’re into artisanal produce, festive gifts, or picturesque photo spots.

ACC9SS: PAC-MAN Carnival in Sentosa

For something a little adventurous this festive season, the resort island of Sentosa has got you covered.
The highlight (at least for us and the grandchildren) has got to be the ACC9SS: PAC-MAN Carnival happening at Palawan Green. While the Pac-Man games may be a little too old-school for their time, the timelessness and fun of a life-sized maze, giant-screen battles, carnival games, retro arcade machines, and snack stalls will prove to be an intergenerational treat.
If you’re there on New Year’s Eve, be treated to not just one fireworks display, but two separate ones happening on the island come midnight. Nearby at the Palawan Kidz City Roof Garden, more entertainment awaits in the form of free movie screenings under the night sky – perfect for whiling the time away while waiting for the fireworks display to come on.
