More Than 80 Eldercare Booths For Eldex Asia 2023, Spanning Healthcare, Technology & Senior-Friendly Architecture
The Eldercare Exhibition & Conference Asia (Eldex) 2023, a trade and consumer exhibition covering the complete spectrum of eldercare will be held on 3 and 4 November 2023 at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre, Hall 403.
Over the two-days, doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, social service workers, caregivers and especially seniors themselves, will get the chance to not only sample the latest in eldercare, but also provide feedback directly to exhibitors.
Over 80 exhibitors are expected at Eldex Asia 2023 from across Asia Pacific and beyond, including those from nearby hubs like Japan, Korea and Taiwan.
They will be split into six eldercare domains: Lifestyle & Wellness, Architecture & Fittings, Healthcare & Rehabilitation, Technology, Digital & IT, Financial, Insurance & Other Services; and the Great Beyond.
These businesses will be complemented by exhibitors from educational institutions with burgeoning gerontology departments like Nanyang Polytechnic and the Singapore University of Social Sciences, as well as elder-focused social organisations like Lions Befrienders, Parkinson Society Singapore and the Singapore Association for Continuing Education (SACE), which promotes lifelong learning.

You can also expect activities and participation from government-related organisations like the National Library Board, Traffic Police and the National Trades Union Congress’ (NTUC) Employment and Employability Institute (e2i).
Meanwhile, these are some of the exhibitors to look forward to in each of the six domains:
1. Lifestyle & Wellness

Expect everything from elder-friendly food and supplements to nutrition, beauty and sports at the lifestyle and wellness booths.
Natural, organic and plant-based foods (which according to Blue Zone research, will make us live longer and healthier) will be available from Vitality Foods, a food-tech firm, as well as Yes Natural and Natural Produce.
Silvers looking to keep fit have a number of options. Golf junkies can head to Tee-Up, a golf membership broker marketplace for clubs in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Australia – perfect if you want to add more interesting play to your usual courses.
Meanwhile, Active Floor heads down the innovative route with interactive digital game spaces projected onto floors and walls. This allows them to create fun and intellectually stimulating games that challenge balance, coordination and memory with a bit of movement.
2. Architecture & Fittings

Learn how the architects of today are arming themselves with the tools and know-how to senior-proof homes, offices and the built environment with innovative technology, as well as architectural tweaks that better encourage community living and interaction.
After all the suitability of furnishings in senior-occupied homes often occupy the limelight – but what about the office, where the right environment contributes to higher level productivity ?
One company in the scene is IM Space, an interior design company that creates age-friendly offices with a mix of elder-friendly furniture and smart devices.
3. Healthcare & Rehabilitation

Healthcare, rehabilitation and medical services will see a natural increase in demand as countries like Singapore age.
Some Eldex Asia 2023 exhibitors, like MaNaDr and Essence SmartCare, are part of the rising juggernaut of telehealth.
The former is a platform that brings together more than 1,500 doctors and 600 clinics in Singapore, while the latter specialises in proactive telehealth initiatives like remote health monitoring.
Others, like ProCare Manpower, SG Assist and Lotus Eldercare focus on the bread-and-butter issues of securing or training high-quality nurses and caregivers who can ease the burden of care on family members and friends.
In terms of healthcare-related retail, turn to Bravada Life. At first blush, two of their new items come to mind – easy-access, wide-set shoes with a zipper on the side, along with wearable gripping aids like jar openers, which can help seniors to keep active and independent despite arthritis, injury or stroke.
4. The Great Beyond
That, unfortunately, is an unavoidable reality of life. By accepting this fact, we get to make our own decisions on how we’d like to go.
At Eldex Asia 2023, you can expect booths from both funeral service company Singapore Casket and Goldhill Memorial Centre, SilverStreak’s partnering sponsor for Eldex Asia 2023 and the island’s first fully automated columbarium.
5. Technology, Digital & IT

Ultra-sensitive wearables, high-speed 5G connectivity and improvements to robotics are unlocking the next frontier of eldercare, with health information and interventions more readily available and accessible from across the globe.
Japan-based Doog will be offering robotic carts that can help you haul your groceries home. Those with difficulty getting around might want to look into their mobility devices like electric wheelchairs and scooters, which will also be available at China-based Suzhou Sweetrich’s booth.
AI-assisted sensors and caregivers are another big innovation to look out for.
Quantum Leap Inc, Soundeye and iSense-ASV are all companies focusing on detection devices that not only alert caregivers in the event of a fall or other mishap, but also maintain one’s privacy.
They generally do so by using laser or radar in lieu of standard video. Soundeye, in particular, is the first monitoring device that can also identify abnormal sounds like coughing, shouting or screaming.
6. Financial, Insurance & Other Services
A reality that comes with ageing and retirement is the need to have one’s financial affairs in order, whether that be personal health insurance plans, annuities or wills.
While most of these can be dealt with using traditional providers, companies have begun to recognise the potential in creating a handy one-stop marketplace that can deal with retirement needs. Immortalize is one such provider.
The company has compiled everything from estate planning and business succession planning to retirement experiences, hobbies, elder-tech gadgets and can also create a video documentary of your life story.

SilverStreak is heading to Eldex Asia 2023 as the event’s official lifestyle partner. The trade show will be held on 3 and 4 November 2023 at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre in Hall 403.

Look forward to meeting the editorial team at the SilverStreak Lounge (booth B13), where we will be hosting fireside chats with silvers that are all about living fuller for longer. Stay tuned for programming soon!
