Why Your House Liddat? is an intimate video series that opens the doors to the homes – and lives – of Singapore’s seniors.
Each short episode reveals the personal stories etched into everyday spaces: the kitchen where decades of meals were cooked, the chair worn in by years of reading, or the corner transformed after retirement.
Unlike typical home-and-living content that focuses on design trends, renovations, and budgets, Why Your House Liddat? focuses on the people who inhabit these spaces.
Through warm, first-person storytelling, viewers go on a journey to share in the habits, passions, and thoughtful choices that turn a house into a personal home.
The series showcases ageing in place with dignity, creativity, and heart, in line with SilverStreak’s mission to celebrate seniors who are living fuller for longer in their own individual ways.

Episode 1: A miniature artist’s Peranakan-inspired home
In this debut episode, we step into the vibrant, curated home of Wilfred Cheah, a 60-year-old miniature artist. From the moment the door opens, his house feels like a living museum of colour, pattern, and memory. Every corner of his home reveals collections that pay homage to his childhood, personal design sense, and present day hobbies.
As he brings us through his space, Wilfred shares how retirement unlocked newfound time and purpose, leading him to transform parts of his home into a creative workspace. He also reveals his personal take on why homes should be about catering to the people living in it rather than following design trends and templates.
