Pickleball 101: Where To Play Pickleball in Singapore And Other Essential Information
It’s no secret that pickleball is one of the hottest new sports in Singapore (and in fact, most of the world) right now – so much so that finding a pickleball court almost feels as difficult as scoring a table at an exclusive restaurant.
The Lion City, after all, isn’t known for its abundance of land – nor its sporting facilities – which means that you and your crew are probably competing with the hordes of other new players and pickleball interest groups that sprouted up in recent years.
To make matters worse, unless you’re booking a spot dedicated specifically to the cross between badminton, tennis and table tennis, you’d also be fending off players from other sports like badminton, as the games can be played in similarly sized courts.
Private pickleball courts are of course an ever-present option for players willing to fork out some dough to satisfy their pickleball itch.
With waitlists long and options few, read on for a list of Singapore’s pickleball courts, along with a guide on how to book these facilities. We’ve even included some spots where you can attend lessons to up your game.

Although pickleball plays equally well indoors and outdoors, Singapore’s sometimes scorching, sometimes stormy weather might pose a threat to the quality of your games outdoors.

Public Pickleball Courts

Like with most sports, public facilities with ActiveSG are available for cheap, though you’ll be facing stiff competition from pretty much the whole of Singapore.
Here’s how you book – head to the ActiveSG website and log in using your SingPass. After that, head to Book A Facility, look for Pickleball, then click on the venue of your choice. Slots are one hour each, and you can book up to two slots a day.
Peak-hour slots – basically every timeslot after working hours – need to be balloted for, with ballots opening two weeks in advance. Like before, you can ballot for up to two slots, though there’s no guarantee you’ll get even one or both of the slots. Results are typically released the next day at noon.
Naturally, locations in schools are open only on weekends, assuming there is no training happening. Prices are generally friendly, starting at just $3.50 for non-peak hours to $9.50 during peak, depending on whether you’re booking for in- or outdoor.

If you need to do a quick scan of locations, here’s a full list of public ActiveSG pickleball courts:

Singaporeans and Permanent Residents are also able to play pickleball at the badminton courts of selected community clubs (CCs) scattered across the island.
Booking can be done either by logging onto the onePA website or going directly to the CCs to book in-person. They can join an interest groups to find more people to play pickleball with.
Bookings range in price depending on location, with peak slots in the evening incurring a significant premium.
For convenience, here’s a list of CCs which have badminton courts which have been approved for pickleball games:
Apart from ActiveSG and onePA facilities, you can also try to secure neighbourhood badminton courts, though these work on a first-come, first-served basis. Heading down early is your best bet, though remember not to start your session too early to avoid noise complaints!

Private Pickleball Courts

Private pickleball courts can make the booking battle easier, as long as you’ve got the cash for it. One good thing about heading to a private pickleball facility is that they often offer equipment rental as well, making it easier for newbies to pick up the paddle and get playing.
Here’s a list of the private pickleball courts in Singapore, along with the prices and the important details (read: sheltered from the sun and airconditioned):
As always, private members’ clubs and country clubs often have the benefit of a private multi-purpose hall that’s fit for pickleball use.
